THE WARDROBE OF IDENTITIES fw26

Mugler unveils the second instalment of The Wardrobe of Identities, continuing Creative Director Miguel Castro Freitas’ exploration of clothing as an expression of transformation and empowerment.

Set within the familiarity of the everyday, the story follows a woman through a day suspended between reality and emotion. Across each scene, the garments become an expression of identity in motion. Each silhouette reveals a different state of being—whether a feeling, a posture, or a form of strength.

This Wardrobe Pre-Collection SS26 explores the new archetypal pieces, conceived as a living wardrobe in motion. Each core item is designed to express signature and evolution — garments that recall the architectural power of Mugler while proposing new codes of movement, fluidity, and form.

From sculpted tailoring to cascading satin and jersey, from defined shoulders to hourglass waists, the Wardrobe of Identities is the celebration of new powerful silhouettes by Miguel Castro Freitas.

At the centre of the narrative are the silhouettes and accessories: sculpted tailoring, defined shoulders, fluid draping, and precise construction embody the evolving codes established by Miguel Castro Freitas, including the Aurora and Lua bags.

Distinctly Mugler in attitude and form, they accompany a woman moving through the world with fearless self-awareness and quiet intensity.

Through Saskia de Brauw’s singular presence, The Wardrobe of Identities continues its exploration of multiplicity and self-expression, celebrating clothing’s capacity to reveal, conceal, and continuously redefine the self.
